Dr. Zhang Chunyang is a Professor at the School of Astronautics, Harbin Institute of Technology. Under the mentorship of renowned photovoltaic experts— Professor Yantao Shi from Dalian University of Technology (DLUT), Prof. Michael Grätzel from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, and Prof. Nam-Gyu Park from Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in South Korea—during his PhD and postdoctoral studies, he focused on innovative optoelectronic materials and device performance modulation. His research has systematically addressed three critical challenges: 1) Decoupling carrier extraction and collection processes in carbon-based devices by designing novel architectures to expand their application scope. 2) Atomic-level precise control of electrode materials' chemical structures and electrical properties. 3) Defect elimination in charge-transport materials and precise modulation of interfacial energy level alignment. Dr. Zhang has published over 30 SCI-indexed papers, including 9 first-author articles in top-tier journals such as Nature Energy (1, IF=56.7), Joule (1, IF=39.8), Energy & Environmental Science (2, IF=32.5), and ACS Energy Letters (1, IF=19.3). In 2024, he was selected as a Shenzhou Young Scholar by Harbin Institute of Technology. He currently serves as a Guest Editor for Crystals and an Associate Editor for Green Carbon.
