Prof. Jiecai Han
Prof. Han, President of Harbin Institute of Technology and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, has devoted to the study of composites and photoelectric materials, and has systematically carried out the research on the ultra-high temperature composites. The corresponding research has been successfully applied to the thermal protection systems of the new generation aerospace vehicles. Prof. Han has also invented the special growth methods and equipment for large-sized sapphire crystals, single crystal diamond with high thermal conductivity, and tetrahedral amorphous carbon permeability-enhancing protective films, which are used in several infrared windows and millimeter wave radar components. Hanhas published more than 400 papers in domestic and foreign journals, including 8 in Science, Nature, and their sub-journals. As the first winner, he won the top ten scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Education in 2020, the second prize of the National Natural Science Award in 2014, the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award in 2011, and the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award in 2009.
