Biography Dr. Xinlin Li is associate professor of Harbin Institute of Technology. He is in charge of four projects supported by Young Scientists Fund project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the Postdoctoral Science Foundation of Heilongjiang Province, and the Opening Project of the Key Laboratory of Bionic Engineering of Jilin University (Ministry of Education). He is mainly engaged in the research of bionic smart materials and structures, and smart morphing structures. He has published 15 SCI papers and granted 3 patents. In 2024, he was selected as the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CAST. In 2022, he won the SPIE Best Student Award. He is a member of the Youth Working Committee of Chinese Society for Composite Materials and the International Society of Bionics Engineering.
Research Fields Dr. Xinlin Li is interested in biomimetics, smart materials and structures, bionic design of micro-nano structures, anti/de-icing strategies, morphing aircraft, morphing skins, etc.
